I created this short video edit as a promotional teaser for the brand relaunch, incorporating the refreshed logo and branding. The footage used was sourced from existing videos from various sources online and is only used for illustrative purposes. I cut and edited the footage, overlaid relevant branding, and added audio.
VISUAL IDENTITY
The goal with The Kape's new logo suite was to refresh, refine and introduce a more contemporary feel to the brand. Through subtle changes in typographic style and kerning, the primary logo was transformed into a modern and minimal wordmark. As sharp, clean cut lines are core to the brand's fashion collections and general aesthetic, it was key to have this expressed through its new identity too. A small, simplistic cut into the 'K' in the Kape created a subtle but captivating detail as a finishing touch. To support the primary logo, a strong secondary logo was introduced alongside a letterform, immediately lending the brand improved versatility across its brand applications.
LOOKBOOK
The lookbook design was crafted to reflect the overall refreshed brand identity for The Kape, communicating the brand's refined and minimal style. The layout was based on an asymmetrical and graphical design, with clean lines and ample white space. With minimal copy, the black and white photographs create an immersive visual storytelling experience, giving inspiration to the consumer on how to wear and style The Kape's timeless pieces.
